Аims and Scope
Systems biology builds a bridge between sophisticated laboratory experiments and mathematical modeling. Bioinformatics focuses on computational analysis of data and algorithm development. As a truly interdisciplinary approach combining life sciences and theoretical disciplines, systems biology and bioinformatics hold the promise of better understanding the nature of complex diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases, as well as deciphering the underlying mechanisms of viral infections. The central mission of systems biology research is to support the development of new tools for diagnosis, drug development and disease treatment.
